Studio Policies & Etiquette
It is our pleasure to welcome you to our dance family at Phoenix Dance Company, in any capacity! Our team is always thrilled to see familiar faces, and just as excited to meet new ones. We kindly ask that you read through our policies and do not forget we are here to help. Feel free to reach out with any questions you may have!
Tuition Policy: All dance classes (competitive and recreational) will be paid for on a monthly basis. Payments are due by the first class of each month. If payment is not received by the 10th of the month, you will be charged a late fee. Payments are currently accepted in the form of cash, check, or Venmo. All classes are to be paid for whether the student attends or not. There is no refund for missed or dropped classes. Tuition will remain the same for each month regardless of the amount of weeks of class within that month - ex. 3 classes, 4 classes, or 5 classes in a single month.
Registration Policy: Registration must be completed by a parent or legal guardian before a student can attend or join a class. There is a one time yearly registration fee of $30 for each student at the time of registration. Registration closes January 31st. The Director/s or Owner may choose to honor a registration even if it is past the closing date at their own discretion.
Drop Policies: Tuition is non-refundable. A spot is held for your dancer in the class upon registration and therefore all payments are final. We are always willing to transfer a student from one class to another if they decide they would like to try something else instead. If you still would like to drop a class, you can stop in or give us a call to let us know. After February 1st you will be locked into your dance classes as it will be recital season, and are unable to drop your classes. Each class will be working on their routines for our annual recital and therefore students are locked into those classes in order to prepare for our show.
Attire: For ALL dance classes, students must wear their hair up/pulled back away from their face. This is to ensure the safety of the dancer as well as their peers. For the entire list with more in-depth information of proper attire and footwear for each class, please click here.
Recital: Exact dates will be announced when we have confirmation from our venue. Detailed information about the recital, including times and locations of dress rehearsal and the show, will be sent out within the last month of classes.
All students are automatically included in our annual recital. If you wish not to attend or perform in our show please inform us by February 1st. Students who will not be partaking in our recital are still more than welcome to take class and learn the routines with their friends, however they will not perform said routines in our showcase come June.
Zero Tolerance Policy: As a part of our commitment to maintaining a positive atmosphere, Phoenix Dance Company operates on a zero tolerance policy in regards to bullying and harassment. We will not tolerate bullying in any form from anyone; whether it be physical, verbal, social, or otherwise. PDC believes that every dancer deserves to feel comfortable and respected while pursuing their interests in dance. We promote a safe and supportive community and students will respect themselves, their peers, and their instructors and choreographers. Inappropriate language and behavior will also not be tolerated inside our studio from students or their families.
